Hey CCFers!
We want to make sure that we are caring for you as best as we can during this time. We know we won't do it perfectly but we are certainly going to try and make this weird and difficult time as awesome as possible while we can. So here is what we have planned for you all:
1. Starting March 30, we want to meet with you all on Zoom to hang out with smaller groups of CCFers for what we are calling "hangouts". Sign up for hangouts by emailing Kane at kane@fsuccf.com. Hangouts are weekly, hour long, video chats, limited to 6 people each initially and are first come first serve in regards to time slots. During the hangout we will cover a small weekly passage of scripture, pray together, check in on how we are doing, and probably some other fun stuff as well.
2. CCF has planned a study schedule for the rest of the semester (and summer months if you all express enough interest). Like the CBR journals, this will be a passage of scripture that each of us will be encouraged to study, pray through, and read a few times during the week in preparation for the discussion during the hangouts mentioned above. The study will follow the same theme we had been studying on Monday Nights "Life in Christ" in which we seek to discover what scripture says about Christian living, specifically what would the Bible tell us about living life as a Christian at FSU, FAMU or TCC. The study schedule below
Scripture to be discussed the weeks of:
March 30- James 4
April 6 - Ephesians 4
April 13 - Romans 12
April 20 - Matthew 18
3. CCF staff members are also available for 1 on 1 counseling and meetings as needed. Just contact Eve or Kane to schedule a time with them. Just let us know!
4. We have something really special planned for the graduating seniors Myranda and Kayleigh. We are going to ask that ALL of you participate in encouraging them and congratulating them on their hard work. Details on how you can participate will be announced during hangouts and posted on social media shortly so look out for that!
Lastly, we want you to know that we are here for you and if there is anything else we can do during this time please do not hesitate to reach out to us! We believe social distancing is a good thing and listening to the advice of authorities is a good thing. But we know for a fact that isolation is not a good thing and lack of community is not a good thing. We hope that you feel that void of not having your CCF community and will venture with us in this new way to be with each other during this time. We miss you all dearly, and while all in-person CCF events are cancelled until at least June, we know that this time will be a huge blessing for us to participate in.
In Christ,
Your CCF staff
